Written for the choir of Old Palace of John Whitgift Girls' School this anthem was
first performed at mass at St Mark's Basillica, Venice. Although written for upper
voices Let All the World will work for any combination of equal voices, and can
be transposed as required.
Aim for a performance with life and spirit as fast as the
choir can manage the text and rhythms with a definite two-in-a-bar feel; watch that
the quavers do not run away with themselves! For the most effective ending start the
last page very softly and ensure the crescendo grows inexorably right until the end!
